Description

this here is a late late late x-mass gift for :iconzaluke: Now zalukes character as a magic side that i wanted to do with a cool glow effect....BBBBBUUUUUTT I dont seem to have a good craps of form as i thought I did. so getting an mysic a glow effect was not as bad ass as i wanted. I did it over and over and over and over. I realy went mad on this one. well sorry the isnt was grand as i made out to be zaluke but hopefully it still meet your aprovel.

So cute!

Creating a chiaroscuro (very dark with a minimal bright light) can be very difficult to achieve, especially with colors. Everything really relies on hyper contrasting tones. Therefore, try something like this out in black and white first. Look up classic chiaroscuro paintings and turn them into black and white in photoshop or whatever your looking at. Make sure to notice where the light shines, and where some parts of the figures can actually disappear or look so dark that they look like they are a part of the background. You don't always have to worry about loosing part of the figure, because of implied line. Even if you can't see everything, our eyes fill in spaces because we know what things look like in reality.
